Need a freelance photographer who can work within your brief, production and client relationship? I am Mark Halding, a photographer and filmmaker based near Copenhagen. I work with agencies, event organisers and in-house marketing and communications teams.
I can handle a defined photography assignment or join a wider photo and film production. We agree my role, your contact person and the deliverables so responsibilities and expectations are clear from the start.
A freelance photographer in your production.
As a project manager or producer, you need to know who handles each task and what your client will receive. I work from your visual direction, audience and schedule, contributing ideas for subjects, lighting and a realistic shooting plan.
We agree client contact, approvals, credits and any confidentiality requirements before the assignment. I can work alongside your team and relevant collaborators when a production needs several disciplines.
Events and conferences

From brief to approved deliverables.
1. Direction and responsibilities
Send the purpose, audience, location, date and visual direction. Explain what your team is handling and the role you need me to fill. We agree the contact person, shooting plan, image selection and approval process.
2. Production and collaboration
I arrive prepared for the agreed assignment and coordinate with your team. During the shoot I guide participants and work to our shared brief. If the scope changes, we clarify the implications for timing and deliverables.
3. Selection and delivery
We agree selection, editing, file formats, naming and deadlines. Usage rights for your client, your own use, any third-party licences and access to raw material must be set out in the agreement.

Each production has an agreed scope, schedule and quote. Availability and dates are confirmed for each assignment. I am based in Hørsholm and take assignments throughout Denmark when the production and budget make sense.

What should our brief include?
Send the purpose, date, venue, schedule, desired photographs or films and deadline. Explain who approves the material and who will use it. I can then assess time, staffing and deliverables.
How do we agree price and scope?
The quote covers preparation, shooting time, editing, travel and usage rights. If the assignment changes, we agree the implications for time and delivery before extending the work.
Do we receive raw files and client usage rights?
Access to raw material and rights for the client, agency and any third parties are agreed separately before production. Describe the channels and uses you need so the agreement fits the assignment.

Send your brief, date, venue, desired deliverables, deadline and intended users. Explain whether you need direct client contact, work through your producer or collaboration with an existing film crew.
I will respond with options and a price based on the scope. Planning, shooting, editing, travel and any collaborators are considered in the quote.
